Fractal Contact

Decades ago, Elsie was a warship. Her recklessness on the front line forced her to retire in human form. Due to the success of her last mission, Elsie officially joined the ranks of military officers, and the arbitrator found her to assist her in establishing contact with the illusory "fractal" race. Many things are in jeopardy. Will such an attempt help humanity gain the upper hand against the current enemy, or will it mark the beginning of the third contact war? Elsie's work has been tough for her, but the only thing more difficult than finding fractal's hometown is believing in her new boss's intentions.
